Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as a free code read at a parts shop?
No. A full investigation uses professional multi-system equipment, live data and method — aimed at finding the cause, not only erasing a light for it to return.
Can you program any ECU or module?
Not every brand and every online path is supported. We confirm access and suitability before booking programming. If we cannot do it properly, we will say so.
Do you come to me?
Yes — mobile diagnostics across our coverage (priority Sussex, Midlands and surrounding areas; wider UK by arrangement). Some programming jobs need stable power and a controlled setup; we will advise if that is safer.
What’s included in the £129 investigation?
A structured visit focused on the reported problem: scan, prioritised live data, checks appropriate to the symptoms, and clear next steps. Extra time is charged at the hourly rate if the job needs it.
Will diagnostics fix the car on its own?
Diagnostics finds and explains. Parts, wiring repairs or software changes may still be required. We separate diagnosis from repair so you only pay for what you authorise.
Can you code features or retrofit options?
Often, where the vehicle and tooling support it. We confirm per chassis before promising a specific feature.
Is programming safe?
We follow a controlled process (battery support where needed, correct procedure, verification). Interruptions and weak batteries are common risks — we plan to avoid those. No programming is 100% risk-free; we only proceed when the job is appropriate.
