Frequently asked questions
What gearboxes do you work on?
Common dual-clutch (DSG / DCT) and many ZF / conventional autos where software calibration is supported. We confirm suitability from make, model, year and gearbox code before booking.
Do I need an engine remap as well?
Not always. Gearbox-only work helps many stock cars. If you already have or want a Stage map, a combined package often gives the best result so torque and shift points match.
How long does it take?
Many jobs are completed in a single visit once checks are clear. Clutch wear, faults or complex packages can need longer or a return visit.
Will it make the box more aggressive?
We set goals with you — daily comfort, sportier shifts, towing hold, launch behaviour, etc. We avoid “race only” maps on a worn clutch pack.
What if the gearbox already has faults?
We scan and assess first. Mechatronic, clutch or fluid issues may need mechanical attention before software work is worthwhile.
Is this the same as the dealer file portal?
No. This page is retail on-car gearbox tuning. Trade remappers ordering files only should use the ECU file services / dealer portal.
